Avisca Fine Art specializes in original paintings, works on paper and original prints by African American, Caribbean and African artists. We offer works ranging from recognized Masters to contemporary self-taught artists. One of our constant missions as a primary market dealer has always been to uncover fresh talent and we are pleased to also feature works by emerging artists who are becoming recognized for their talent.

Byrma Braham has been an art dealer and collector for over 16 years. In 1985 she co-founded one of New York City’s first full service African American art galleries. She ran the gallery with her business partner for 11 years prior to relocating to the Atlanta area. A knowledgeable and articulate authority on African American art and the business of selling art, Byrma has lectured and consulted extensively on the subjects and has curated a number of exhibitions. Forsaking the rigorous demands of running a full time gallery, she has chosen the path of a private fine art dealer, carefully catering to the needs of her clients. In addition to being a dealer of fine art, Byrma and her business partner, Lynn Porter, run an ecommerce web site that markets art print and posters.

Lynn Porter managed investment portfolios at U.S. Steel Corporation during her 18 years there. In 1993 she left to fulfill a dream to work with art and represent her father, the artist Henry C. Porter. She has successfully marketed her father’s work to many prominent private collectors and corporations over the years. She brings to Avisca Fine Art a life long passion for art, a keenly intuitive eye for talent, and a sincere enjoyment of working with people.
