Rawn McCloud is a native of California who currently resides in Oakland, Ca. He graduated with a degree in
Fine Art from California State University. His unique imagery incorporates elements of Yoruba, African and ancient sculpture. Symbols and patterns combine with subtle effects of color and design. Bringing together several
influences including nature, literature, and jazz, the artist seeks to communicate the wonder and beauty of people overcoming obstacles and moving forward in a positive and spiritual direction.
McCloud has exhibited in a number of group and solo exhibitions including the Academy of Fine Art, New York,
NY; Brockman Gallery, Los Angeles, Ca. and the Maralyn Wilson Gallery, Birmingham, Al. A recent exhibition at the Nexus Contemporary Art Center in Atlanta, Ga. was positively reviewed by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
