ann tanksley

hand colored prints

In addition to being a nationally recognized painter, Ann Tanksley is also an accomplished printmaker. She follows in the tradition of a relatively small group of trailblazing African American printmakers like  Dox Thrash, Bob Blackburn, James Lesesne Wells, Elizabeth Catlett, Lois Mailou Jones and Jacob Lawrence. Constantly learning, exploring, and innovating new printmaking techniques, Tanksley has made an indelible contribution to the field African American printmaking. We are proud to offer this selection of finely crafted hand-pulled prints.
